Light and sound, multiple forms of signals are emitted simultaneously, crossing and overlapping. The performer becomes the intermedium, exploring the connections between the two. In the process, performers become both the receiver and the sender of messages.

All kinds of information are taken in from the environment, transformed into electric signals, processed, and used to control our body expressions. At this moment, light, sound, and electricity integrate and interact, where our consciousness as individuals emerge.

Dancing, running, every motion is a complex process involving multiple signals, and we are the container where the photoelectric reaction occurs.

Dotted light and sound are like digital signals, transferring fragmented information in a vacuum full of ether. In the darkness, performers use all their senses to capture and react to information, where language and words are substituted by the transmitting data. Through the dialogue between performers, they showed different patterns of reaction, as well as their individuality.

Performers are attached with LEDs on different body parts. The flashes are captured through a camera, and converted into data of brightness and position, triggering and changing various sounds. Performers hold the switches, deciding themselves as the receiver or sender of messages, or the changer of the environment. Their consciousnesses are seen in every choice made.

Being sourrounded by fragmented messages, we are still trying to trace the completeness of people. We imagine a whole body extending from a single bit of light, we see a continuous movement completing from a frame-by-frame vision. We put together time from pieces, where our silhouettes are reflecting from.

Being submerged in digitalized communications, we are still hoping to establish connections with others. We gaze through the darkness for the eyes that cannot be seen, we listen in the noise for breaths and heartbeats that cannot be heard. We feel the existence of each other, sometimes follow, sometimes leave, sometimes spin around with hands holding tight.

We are not only the containers for photoelectric reactions, but also complete beings longing for connections.
